- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My sister has sickle cell and she has had outstanding health care from emergency, laboratory staff, nurses, administrative staff, phenomenal doctors. My sister is now 18 so she will soon have to leave her family. The love and care of the staff towards these children is amazing and consistent. They seem to remember each child almost by name and their conditions. Angel is a wonderful man that worked in the lab for years. He is the only one that could find my sisters almost invisible veins every time. By the time she was five she demanded him. Parents, it's worth the drive for the loving atmosphere.
